Day trips to Belgium and the Netherlands

Bring your team closer together through shared moments, communication and group interactions outside of the office. Individual team building tours to nearby countries are an excellent way to develop these important potentials. Shared travel experiences not only promote group cohesion, but also ensure a lasting increase in both physical and mental productivity within your collective.

The excursion last a single day. It starts at 8:00 a.m. from the long-distance bus station in Düsseldorf or Cologne. For groups of up to 50 people, the transfer to the destination and back takes place in comfortable buses. Within one day you will experience a visit to the most striking sights accompanied by the local tour guide in German or optionally in English. At lunchtime, the tour group can enjoy a tasting of local culinary specialties, which can of course be selected according to the personal tastes of each group member. From around 3 p.m. the free city tour takes place with the opportunity to organize your own time. The tour participants can now use the time to explore the city on their own or simply stroll around and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city in numerous cafés. At around 6:00 p.m. the tour participants return to the bus boarding point. Arrival in the hometown takes place around 9:00 p.m.

The average number of working days in North Rhine-Westphalia per year is: 250 days. Give your colleagues a day in which they can fill their energy reserves, gain shared experiences and strengthen social bonds as friends.

The Team Building tours

Amsterdam. In 1567, the well-traveled Italian Lodovico Guicciardini described Amsterdam as the “Venice of the North”. But that wasn't enough: Constantijn Huygens, an eloquent Dutch poet, coined the phrase "double Venice" in the middle of the 17th century in reference to the local canal city. If you ignore the unique Mediterranean flair of Venice, this is at least numerically possible, as Amsterdam has about twice as many canals.

The Hague. The Hague is one of the five largest cities in the Netherlands and is known for its seaside location. Historical monuments, chic hotels and picturesque beaches make the city a true oasis of adventure. Furthermore, the political heart of the Netherlands beats in The Hague. At first glance, the government city seems to be a summer home, but there is also a lot to experience in autumn and winter. Numerous cultural institutions, trendy restaurants and colorful festivals ensure that there is no chance of boredom.

Antwerp. The Scheldt metropolis shines in many facets: with a global port and the international diamond trade, with avant-garde fashion, art and architecture, with Rubens and Baroque in abundance. Trendy restaurants and nightlife attract evening and night owls. The streets are pulsating with life, filled with exotic colors and sounds by people from 175 countries. In short: a lavish mix that fascinates long-established "sinforums" as well as eager visitors.

Brussels. Brussels is a brittle beauty; it only gradually reveals its charm and appeal. Anyone who gets used to the breaks and contrasts will experience a lively, fascinating metropolis. It seduces with magnificent old buildings and the highlights of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Glass palaces contrast with lots of greenery, the museums are overflowing with art treasures, and the streets are decorated with comics and street art. The finest antiques and the latest avant-garde art are negotiated. Classical and jazz, pop and rap, theater, dance and circus are top. And then the scene that comes to life with the aperitif for the “Heure blue”.

Ghent. Ghent exudes austere beauty. The mighty Gravensteen moated castle, the panorama of the three defiant towers and the lavishly decorated Stadthuis are reminiscent of the heyday when the Counts of Flanders ruled here. But things were and are turbulent between the old walls: once the workers rebelled, today students and spontaneous people, creative people and artists live their lives, and dolce vita reigns by the water.

Bruges. “Bruges, the beautiful one,” the long-time residents praise. In fact, if there is one city in Belgium that can justifiably claim to be the most beautiful, it is Bruges, the ancient capital of Flanders. A walk through the alleys of the almost entirely medieval city center and a trip on the canals are some of the most magical things Northern Europe has to offer: Bruges really is the “Venice of the North”.
